The Factors of Leadership - A One Day Program

Are you an exceptional leader?

Being an exceptional leader in today's complex and fast-moving business environment demands specific skills and the ability to successfully predict and adapt to changing realities. It also requires an understanding of the factors that drive authentic leadership across the spectrum of contexts affecting a leader's ability to achieve great results.

In an interactive and high-energy environment, Karen Kaufman and David Grad will facilitate a dynamic program to engage participants as they prepare to elevate their roles. The Kaufman Impression Management System® will be introduced and used as a framework to identifyand define key impression factors and to assess individual leadership assets and needs. 

By participating in this one-day program, The Factors of Leadership, professionals acquire a better understanding of themselves and their impact on others. This self-awareness enables participants to manage how their leadership is communicated to and perceived by others, enhancing their ability to communicate more effectively, develop more positive relationships and lead with confidence.

This program is designed both for individuals who have been identified as key organizational talent and those committed to accelerating their career. In a small group setting, participants will learn how others perceive their leadership. Each participant will learn new ways to leverage their authentic assets and address their leadership needs.

The fee for the all day program is $1275.00 per person.  For companies of 3 or more attendees, the fee is $1100 per person.  The program includes: continental breakfast, a business luncheon experience and a personal video.

Karen KaufmanKaren Kaufman co-founded The Kaufman Partnership with Donald Kaufman in 1985. Karen is an Executive Coach, Consultant and Keynote Speaker specializing in Executive Presence through their methodology of Impression and Relationship Management. Her goal is to create an environment of trust and intimacy so that clients can explore and accelerate their leadership capacity enabling them to leverage their impact and produce extraordinary outcomes for their organizations. Her coaching expertise and interest includes the power of organizational dynamics, executive presence and communication, and being a catalyst for the possibility of organizational transformation.

Karen continues to advise and coach executives to emerging leaders in prominent non-profit cultural organizations, healthcare systems, academic institutions, and professional and financial services firms.

Karen is committed to serving the communities in which she lives and is currently the Treasurer on the Executive Board of the Friends of Independence National Historical Park. Karen also serves on the Women in Executive Leadership and Governance Committee of the Forum of Executive Women. She is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Advisors for the School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University. Karen has served in numerous leadership roles at the Union League of Philadelphia, most recently on the Admissions Committee. Karen served as the President of the Participant Steering Committee at the University of Pennsylvania in Dynamics of Organizations.

She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Philadelphia University and a Masters of Science Degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.

When not coaching, Karen enjoys golf, biking, reading and long walks on the beach.


David Grad, M.S.

David Grad, M.S.David Grad brings the skills of a strategic communication consultant, executive producer, actor and corporate leader to his work as a facilitator and leadership coach. His multidisciplinary training and over 20 years of professional experience has provided him with a diverse array of perspectives, informing his understanding of the many dynamic elements necessary for more fully embodying the role of a leader, strengthening one's leadership presence and communicating more effectively.

Synthesizing his prior experiences in the disciplines of acting, leadership and strategic communication, David, Sr. Consultant, The Kaufman Partnership facilitates executive presence programs and coaches leaders and emerging leaders to better understand the perceptual, cognitive, behavioral and emotional factors that support the role of leadership. His expertise in strategic communication and storytelling enables him to coach his clients to influence, inspire and more authentically connect with the many stakeholders critical to their success, the success of their teams and organizations.

A frequent speaker, David is also an Adjunct Professor teaching Values-Based Leadership in the M.S. in Impact-Focused Business & Investing program at Glasgow Caledonian New York College in NYC.

He holds an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Columbia University, B.A.'s in both Mass Communication and Theatre from Florida State University, and graduated from the 2-year acting program at the prestigious William Esper Studio.
