Upon completion of this program, you will have the tools to elevate your virtual leadership presence. This program will include:

  • On September 17, virtual instructor-led training - 8:30-12:30 and 1:30-4:00
  • On October 29, virtual instructor-led coaching session - 10:00-11:30
  • Small group support and networking in between sessions
  • Maximum of 24 people

Karen Kaufman, MSOD

Karen KaufmanKaren Kaufman co-founded The Kaufman Partnership with Donald Kaufman in 1985. Karen is an Executive Coach, Consultant and Keynote Speaker specializing in Executive Presence through their methodology of Impression and Relationship Management. Her goal is to create an environment of trust and intimacy so that clients can explore and accelerate their leadership capacity enabling them to leverage their impact and produce extraordinary outcomes for their organizations. Her coaching expertise and interest includes the power of organizational dynamics, executive presence and communication, and being a catalyst for the possibility of organizational transformation.

Karen continues to advise and coach executives to emerging leaders in prominent non-profit cultural organizations, healthcare systems, academic institutions, and professional and financial services firms.

Karen is a contributing author for six books on communication, women in partnership, the impact of appearance, and nursing leadership.

As a nationally recognized expert, Karen has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal in the following articles, "How To Look And Act Like A Leader", "How to Read a Room", "The Curse of the Endlessly Rescheduled Meeting" and "To Look Young at Work, Hiding Your (Child's) Age".

Karen is committed to serving the communities in which she lives and is currently the Treasurer on the Executive Board of the Friends of Independence National Historical Park. Karen also serves on the Women in Executive Leadership and Governance Committee of the Forum of Executive Women. She is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Advisors for the School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University. Karen has served in numerous leadership roles at the Union League of Philadelphia, most recently on the Admissions Committee. Karen served as the President of the Participant Steering Committee at the University of Pennsylvania in Dynamics of Organizations.

Karen was awarded the distinction of one of the 50 Best Women in Business for 2003.

She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Philadelphia University and a Masters of Science Degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.

When not coaching, Karen enjoys golf, biking, reading and long walks on the beach.

David Grad, M.S.David Grad brings the skills of a strategic communication consultant, executive producer, actor and corporate leader to his work as a facilitator and coach. Certified as a coach in Brain-Based Conversation Skills® from the NeuroLeadership Institute, his multidisciplinary training and over 20 years of professional experience have provided him with diverse perspectives on the many dynamic elements needed to strengthen leadership presence, communicate effectively, and fully embody the role of a leader.


David facilitates leadership presence programs and coaches executives and emerging leaders to better understand the perceptual, cognitive, behavioral and emotional factors that support their leadership roles. His expertise in strategic communication and storytelling enables him to coach his clients to influence, inspire and more authentically connect with the many stakeholders critical to their individual success and that of their teams and organizations.


As a founding partner in the digital learning company Elevator9, David is pioneering new ways to bridge traditional in-person learning with digital and virtual technology to create more effective learning solutions.


A frequent speaker, David is also a professor in the graduate program of Glasgow Caledonian New York College. He designed and teaches the course, Values-Based Leadership Skills for an Interconnected World, which is required for all students enrolled in the college’s three master's degree programs.
David holds an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Columbia University and B.A.'s in Mass Communication and Theatre from Florida State University. He is a graduate of the acting program at the prestigious William Esper Studio in New York City.
